Today was the election day in Telangana for MLA and MP selections.

It was good to see enough number of helpers with laptops sitting in almost every street and helping voters.

We had noted our polling booth as booth number 83 from internet and the map referred to government school near our house. But we did not find our booth there.

When we asked these people who were guiding voters we came to know our booths are located in different school.

Even though it was mentioned mobile phones are not allowed, everybody carried mobile phone and no security checking was there.

I am sure the lady who had to loudly announce the electoral number of voters would get throat pain today! I do not know whether they will rotate their turns or same person has to read aloud the number and name for the whole day.

There were 31 candidates in the list. I hardly knew most of them. I had tried to know about candidates from ceoandhra.nic.in website but did not find details.

Finally voted for the party of my choice.

My first vote in Telangana. and it applies to everybody here now 🙂

Hi,

We visited Jungle the Restaurant at Nizampet Village yesterday at 10 PM.

The food was good. We had ordered Tandoori Roti and Paneer Kofta.

They took some 15- 20 minutes.

We had ordered to make it less spicy and the instruction was followed.

The ambiance was good with artificial forest around. Kids love it. I did not like it much, as it did not have much lighting. Or I do not like the pub like environment in family hotels.

But what annoyed us was constant shoutings from Kitchen. Since the ordered food and till the time we left, the quarrel among employees was going on in Kitchen and it was so audible that all of us could hear in the Dining area.

We just felt like leaving after main course and did not want to order anything more.

Price was reasonable for 5 Roti and one Paneer kofta the bill amount was 220/-.

Second time we visited there were more negative experience.

We ordered less spicy, without green chilli Paneer, but we got spicy, with green chilly curry.

In first visit we had asked for finger bowl and we were asked to use wash basin. We thought its ok, as it was already 10.45 pm and looked like the restaurant was about close.

But second time we visited at afternoon, and saw finger bowl being given to other customer, so after our lunch asked for finger bowl, he said use wash basin! Then we asked why? Then another person intervened and asked him to give finger bowl. But he gave finger bowl with cold water!!

Why people invest so much if they cannot monitor and guide the employees?

 

ಕೆ ಬಿ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇವರು ಮೂಲತಃ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದವರು. ಇವರು ನವೆಂಬರ್ ೧೭, ೧೯೬೮ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದರು. ಇವರ ತಾಯಿ ಭಾಗೀರಥೀ ಬಾಯಿ, ತಂದೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣಮೂರ್ತಿ.

ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ೧೯೯೮ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನವರಾದ ಪಿ.ಗೀತಾಂಜಲಿಯನ್ನು ವಿವಾಹವಾದರು. ಇವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ಗೀತಾಂಜಲಿ, ಕೆನರಾ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಿ. ಇವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಅವಿನಾಶ್ ನೋಂಪಿ ಜ್ನಾನದೀಪ ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ.

ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಅತೀ ಕಿರಿಯ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಮನೋಭಾವದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲೇ ರಾಜಕೀಯಕ್ಕೆ ಧುಮುಕಿದರು. ಸಮಾಜಸೇವೆಯೇ ಅವರ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತರ ಹರೆಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಅವರು ಯುವ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ಸಿನ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಅವರ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವೆ, ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಡನಾಟ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.

ರಾಜಕೀಯವಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ, ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕ್ರಿತಿಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಾವು ಗುರುತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಇವರು ೨೦೦೭ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ನಗರ ಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ನಿಂತರು. ಸಮಾಜಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಜನಪ್ರಿಯರಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಯೇ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೆದ್ದು ಅಶೋಕನಗರದ ಮುನ್ಸಿಪಲ್ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲರ್ ಆಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದರು. ಕಳೆದ ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರು ಅಶೋಕನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿರುವ ಸೇವೆ ಗಣನೀಯ. ಇವರ ಜನಸೇವೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂತುಷ್ಟರಾದ ಅಶೋಕನಗರದ ಜನತೆ, ೨೦೧೩ರ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲರ್ ಆಗಿ ಭಾರಿ ಬಹುಮತದಿಂದ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಮತದಾನದ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ೩೭೩೭, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಗಳಿಸಿದ ಮತಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ೨೯೧೩.

ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲರ್ ಆಗಿ ಇವರು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಸೇವೆಗಳು ಇಂತಿವೆ.

ಇವರು ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲರ್ ಆಗುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಅಶೋಕನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಅಭಾವ ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮೂರು ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿನಗಳಿಗೊಮ್ಮೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು, ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಕುಮಾರರು ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲರ್ ಆದ ಬಳಿಕ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ಬಗೆ ಹರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅಶೋಕನಗರದ ನೀರಿನ ಬವಣೆಯನ್ನು ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್ ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀರು ತರಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಪೂರೈಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ೨೫ ಕಡೆ ಮಿನಿ ನೀರಿನ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಅಭಾವವಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕರ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ತರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಅಶೋಕನಗರದೆಲ್ಲೆಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀದಿ ದೀಪಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ವೇಳೆ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು, ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ವಾಹನಗಳು ಜನಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರು ನಿರ್ಭಯವಾಗಿ ಓಡಾಡುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಆರು ಹೈ ಮಾಸ್ಟ್ ಬೀದಿ ದೀಪಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇನ್ನೂ ಮೂರು ಹೈ ಮಾಸ್ಟ್ ದೀಪಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಂಜೂರಾತಿ ದೊರಕಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಅಶೋಕನಗರವನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕಿನ ನಗರವೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಅಶೋಕನಗರದ ಬಹುತೇಕ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾಂಕ್ರೀಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಡಾಂಬರ್ ಹಾಕಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಂಚಾರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಸುಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಹಾಗೂ ನಗರ ಸಭೆಯಿಂದ ಬಡವರಿಗೆ, ಅರ್ಹ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ದೊರಕಬೇಕಾದ ಸವಲತ್ತು ಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರವರಿಗೇ ದೊರಕುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಲಂಚ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೇ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಚಾರ.

ಬಿಪಿಎಲ್ ಕಾರ್ಡ್, ಹೊಲಿಗೆ ಯಂತ್ರ, ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್, ಗ್ರೈಂಡರ್, ಸೈಕಲ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ದೊರಕುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗಾಗಿ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ದುಡಿದಿರುವ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ವಾರ್ಡ್ ನ ಜನತೆ ಭಾರೀ ಬಹುಮತದಿಂದ ಪುನ: ಕೌನ್ಸಿಲರ್ ಆಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

ಹಗಲು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಎನ್ನದೇ ದಿನದ ೨೪ ಗಂಟೆಯೂ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಕುಮಾರ್ ಆದರ್ಶ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ ಎನ್ನುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂದೇಹವಿಲ್ಲ.

ಇವರ ಸಾಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದಿಂದ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಗೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ದಿಸಲು ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಜನತೆ ಇವರ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇತರ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿ ಅರ್ಹ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯನ್ನು ಆರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಆಶಯ ನಮ್ಮದು.

ಈಶ್ವರಪ್ಪ ಅವರಂತಹ ಭಾರೀ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೆಣಸಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಬಳಿ ಇರುವುದು ಒಂದೇ ಅಸ್ತ್ರ, ಅದೆಂದರೆ ನಿಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವೆ, ಜಾತ್ಯಾತೀತತೆ, ಹಾಗೂ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರ ರಹಿತ ರಾಜಕಾರಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಛಲ.
